This magical location located in the Torrey Pines State Reserve was breathtaking. On the edge of the cliffs overlooking the great wide ocean you felt as though you were in a dream. The connection with nature and the love that surrounded these two was empowering and joyous.

Julie and Jake

Julie and Jake planned a small intimate gathering for their wedding aboard the Jada. I met them before they set sail to shoot a few photos with them and their family.

Julia and Rob

Julie and Rob reconnected after many years. Their connection was so strong it did not take them long to recognize they wanted to spend the next stage of their lives together. This very quaint effortless wedding was so full of love and admiration; I couldn’t help feeling like I’d known them forever.

Penny Realty San Diego

In 2005 I shot Greg and Shayne Flaherty's wedding. Years later I was pleasantly surprised to have the opportunity to cross paths when them again. I met with them at the Penny Realty office in Pacific Beach to shoot Head Shots of them and some of the team members.

What is Wonderstruck?

The feeling you get when you have a sense of wonder, surprise, admiration, etc…

We all have our own dynamic and we express it in many different ways. For me one of the beauties of photographing people is finding that individual dynamic in each person and communicating it back to them.

It’s about sharing time with people until like a switch turning on, a smile, grin, or serious look is captured which shows a genuine element of that person... That is what I seek and wait for when I am working with people.

What a lucky person I am to have the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and be a part of many lives”.

This Wonderstruck Photography Blog will share with you weddings, family, kids, couples, love, laughter and a glimpse of the wonderful people I have had the pleasure of working with. On occasion I will share personal ventures and inspirations I just couldn’t help pick up the camera for.
